Comment Rules

I want this to be a place of ideas and opinions. A place where we can discuss Xbox related topics in a pleasant environment. Unfortunately, in an online environment, I also have to set some rules. First and foremost, this is not a democracy. You are a guest here, and as such have a responsibility to behave properly. I am not violating your rights when I remove your post since you don’t have any here. I have full control, and final decision, over what gets posted. We all know that there will be areas where we disagree, but we will agree to disagree politely. It is not censorship when I delete your comment. All areas of life have rules that must be followed and failure to follow rules always has consequences. Here, failure to follow rules will be cause to delete your comments, opinions and posts. Don’t think that when I delete a comment it is merely because I disagree with you. I would never do such a thing. I am merely setting these rules as a warning to all users who intentionally go onto forums to start fights. If you are merely presenting your opinion in a civil manner, you have nothing to worry about.

All comments must be directed at the topic and not the author of a post or comment. If any comment contains name-calling or personal attacks, I will not approve the comment. In other words, stay on topic and critique principles or products, not people.

I have my own advertising system in place and will not approve comments containing ads. You will not solicit anyone to buy or sell products or services, or to make donations of any kind. I will not approve comments containing links to external content unrelated to the topic.

You will not solicit anyone to buy or sell products or services, or to make donations of any kind. You will not include links to products in your comment.

Comments that include offensive language of any type will be deleted.

You will not make comments that are libelous, defamatory, harmful, mean, threatening, hateful, abusive, harassing, threatening, racially or ethnically objectionable or invasive of another person’s privacy.

Any content you post that I think even might be illegal will be deleted.

And finally, this list is longer in my mind. I have the right to change these rules or add rules as needed to help provide a safe family environment for our guests. In other words… I can make stuff up to justify deleting content I think is inappropriate. We are fine with, encourage and welcome, differing opinions. Who knows, we may even change each others minds.

Now that that is done, lets talk Xbox in a constructive & friendly way.

Thanks,

Ian
